Nepeta cataria, commonly known as catnip, is a species of plant of the genus Nepeta in the family Lamiaceae. The name catnip is derived from the intense attraction cats have towards the plant.
CatNEIPa by contrast, is our New England IPA – a hop bomb, a real far out cat. Named for the intense attraction felt by hopheads and craft lovers. Weighin’ in at a juicy 7.3%, a full bodied feline with soft, almost chewy, mouthfeel from the added wheat, oats and wheat malt.
Simcoe and Citra double dry hops combine with the Lallemand New England yeast to serve up tropical esters and a fruity flavour profile.
